Reebok Advertisment Analysis

In this advertisement Reebok uses a lot of slapstick comedy, because of this the ad appeals to a lot of younger viewers. The advertisement is pretty far off topic with the actual product being marketed, it does not actually mention any certain product being sold by Reebok; however, I think the ad is still effective because there is enough plugging of the actual company name to remind the viewer of who the advertisement is for. It doesn't apply to any of the categories in Maslow's Hierarchy, so it doesn't have any rational appeal to viewers, but for sporting good companies like Reebok I don't think the adds need to be rational.
