Propaganda

I am definitely on the side of Christopher Hitchens, even if there is a small amount of factual truth, as Hitchens said the film is mostly misrepresentation of facts designed to derail Bush. Even though Moore has denied being "politically motivated" for years it is well documented that Moore is a die hard leftist. I would not argue with you if you felt Fahrenheit 9/11 was a powerful film but so is Bambi, that doesn't make the content true.

The evidence that Moore presents in the film is true but it doesn't directly correlate to what Moore was trying to prove. It is true that Bush was reading to children in Florida while the attacks of 9/11 were occurring but, why does it matter that he took a long pause before speaking to the children? Wouldn't it have been worse if he didn't think at all?

  1. Right after I first watched Farenheight 9/11 I thought George W. Bush was a terrible president. After looking at all the facts I do think that the information is a misrepretation of facts and is designed to derail Bush.

The one thing Bush might of done wrong is waited while reading the childrens book. He may have been thinking about what was going on, or what to do next. If Bush would of acted right away he could of saved 7 minutes of the burning of the buildings and maybe the lives of many people.

When people first watch this film they probally think Bush is a bad president. What I would tell them to do is look into the facts and you would find a bunch of useless informationj tried to be put together to attack Bush.

  2. I think that it was basically Bush's fault because he took a long vacation in the summer after becoming the president. Likely if you become the president, then you are at work all the time and you are never taking a break. Especially Bush who takes a vacation at the beginning of his term.

But Bush would have saved a lot of lives and might've also saved the second WTC if he acted on the message. He could've hepled out thousands of lives and would've been remembered for something good, not something bad. But he could have been under pressure not knowing what to do, big mistake.

  3. I agree with my buddy computer that was wrong of president bush to take a vacation. I think president bush should of not wasted his time and pause or read to kids he should of left the school and got to business, as president his job is to make sure the country is successful and safe not sit there and read to little kids. I don’t know if he considered it to be a emergency maybe he didn’t, I felt like he didn’t care bur for all I know he was wrong for what he did and thank goodness he’s not president anymore.
